My name derives from my favourite character to write. Nothing interesting there in the slightest.

If you want the truth, I really want to change it to something better suited to me now. I was 18/19 when I signed up (I think), and it doesn't represent me now like it did then. Haven't the foggiest what I'd want, mind.

Nothing too special about mine. I daydream a lot, and it's then when I usually come up with ideas, so a lot of the time I'm in awaking dream-state I suppose. That and I've always been particularly fascinated about dreaming in general, so it just seemed to work.

Well, the 'A' stands for Aphrodite, and the 'SH' are dedicated to my love for Silent Hill, and the 'Leigh' belongs to my favourite character in....

Just kidding, obviously it's my name, lol.

I just figured there was no better "HER I AM!" statement than my own name. Besides, I actually think my name's quite pretty, and I've always liked the spelling.

Mine should be actually spelled as 'Manaav'.... it's a Hindi word and a popular name here in India. It means human, man, Adam

As my last productive endeavor, as a U.S.C.G. (Coast Guard) licensed Captain, Owner/Operator of the twin diesel 46' Sportsfishing Charter Boat "Comin' Home" here in the Florida Keys.

More than enough, Great Adventures, for a Hemmingway style book!.

It's from the nursery rhyme, that my dad used to sing to me as a child.

It's just a way to remember my login.
People think I use it for my 'internet personality', but everything under the sun I sign up for is usually 'Jessa Nova'.

I sing and play guitar, focusing mostly on folk music. That interest inspired the first novel I ever started (which is still in first-draft form): it involved a wandering minstrel in an ancient land.

    Minstrel. Works for me.

    Ditto on the simple name.

I live in the north of England and my first name is Philip which is often shortened to Phil. So to call myself Northern Phil is simple.

Recently I have started using the username Mr Mega Phil, so I might try and find some way to change it in the future.

But but but... Jack! in your avatar!

My name's from spending way too long signing up to stuff online. I answer to Melly in real life these days, but I have a buddy who calls me Melzaar in a sort of affectionate "you totally secretly run the universe" sort of way. So, I thought I'd assume my evil villain persona for this forum. :D

Lavarian is the name of the main character from a short story that I won a contest with. I was mighty proud of the name- it took some time to make up. I was also proud of the other name I made up- (Aluvian) which took even more time. But then I discovered this name was already used in Neverwinter Nights as a starting pre-made character.
I was so angry because I really did spend the time making up the letters and sounding it out. (I had not played that game until much later)
I was honestly furious when I saw it in the list of characters to choose from.

    LOL poor Rob. :(

I should tell you about some of the names my brother thought he had made up back in the day...

Pretty sure I've posted this before, but since there are so many new people (and I'm posting in the thread anyway), I'll post it again. Hiddennovelist is the name I use for most of my stuff-email, etc-and I chose it because it just seemed like a cool idea. On the surface, you can't tell that I'm a writer, but deeper inside, I hold all my novelistic secrets. ;)

It's just refering to my love of vampires combined to my love of the Young Guns movies (as in Wild West, Billy the Kid). I thought it would make pretty cool combination for a username. I first created this to YouTube when I needed a new main account and then it became my main name online.

But my main pen name, AngelJunior, comes from the TV series 'Angel', (Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinn-off series), and refers to the vampire Angel's son, Connor, who was refered to as "Angel Jr." by one of their friends. (Connor is my favourite character in the buffyverse. That's why the choice.)
