Oh yeah, I know this isn't really important, but my character isn't on the first post of this thread. It's probably because I joined so late.
This is an amazing map BTW! Great Job! Can I get an update on where everyone is... and the basic condition of the mall...? I noticed that the mall had a lot of unnamed stores in it... are we allowed to drop some names in... Also do we have to use real store names or can we make up parody names? What kind of stuff does this Mall have in as well..? IE: Sporting Goods Store (Sports Authority) Clothing Stores (The Gap, Unlimited, Fredric's?) Speciality (Radio Shack, Spencer's, Hoffritz, etc) Game Room? Mass Retailers: (Macy's, Sears, Etc?) Also I hope you all don't mind if I give a list of what these stories that are listed carry to give us an idea of what is at our disposal - also because some of the names I had no idea what they sold. Marks & Spencer: Like a small sears: Has clothing for him/her/kids. Lawn garden, Electronics (TV's and things like that), Furniture, Fixtures, Traveling supplies. Claire's: Accessories Store: Next: Reproductions of designer brands on clothing and some other items. French Connection: High End Fashion (clothing store). Mother Care: I don't think this one needs to be explained. Gucci: Bags/accessories/womens shoes. La Senza: Intimate Apparel. Sony: Electronics. Audio Visual. (Perhaps a good place to get a Cam Corder) Half Pricers: (I could not find this one - I would guess general merchandise, can someone correct this for me?) Heaven on Earth: "Spiritual Wellness Center" Like a new age novelty store with yoga room. (I think - anyone that knows this store directly might be able to explain it better)
Ok... That is cool... Umm--- where is the bookshop? and what is the condition of the Mall? How many Zombies are floating around it? Are the doors to the mall open as in the Zombies can just walk in, or are they locked/closed type deal?
Well, it happened in the middle of the day, so I'd think the doors would be open, unless you locked them yourself. The bookshop is somewhere on the first floor-- I think xD I don't have any answers for the other questions We'll have to wait for Shadow.
I was wondering all the same. I was going to have Ellery have a run-in with a zombie, but then I wasn't sure exactly how many, if any, were left in the mall.
Can you inform me what the stores name is and where it is located: IE: 2nd floor right below French Connection (This is an example only!) (Can I get this for the Bookstore as well) In the discussion forum as we would all know the basic stores in the mall. Also you all said that the mall "Looked empty" so there might be some "Hiding in the stores" or able to get in the doors. Would like some info on that. Thanks.
The book store is next to Claires, and the bakery is next to Next. The hunting store is on the third floor next to Sony.
Ok, guys, the mall is going to start to fill up with zombies soon, so get ready for some combat. For the next hour or so, their will only be a handful, but soon enough, the place is going to be full of them.
Erm. My characters hopped up on painkillers and has a bad back She won't be much help atm... so... Just pretend she's back at the bookstore or hunting store W/e works.
Don't worry Iulia, your guy is just hanging out in the hunting store, waiting for Eris and Ethan to return and looking for useful supplies.
Thank you for the info... sorry I have not been posting as much as of late. Been feeling like I am the odd man out here and just stumbling along. Maybe once I get a grip on this things will go better.
As for plot ideas.. I thought the idea was that we try to survive until something critical happens. However Conflict and Plot are simple. We either do a few things: 1) Try to Escape to someplace safe: (Run away) Top do this however, we need a direction: A place to escape to. Once we have that then we make plans to get there: We armor up a car and try to get "someplace else that is safe" is a good one. Hop in a truck and just try to find other groups of humans. Just run out the doors yelling like loonies hoping that the zombies are too slow to catch up with us. 2) we try to cure/solve the problem. Since no one here played bio-chemist, figuring out a chemical or medical solution on our own might be out of the question. We might have the ability to make a make shift lab from the stuff from the stores however. A Good hook for this is what you did with the main into: It was from the VP of a reporter, which could perhaps a quest to figure out how this all started, where did the zombies come from? (Big Companies, Government, Terrorist, Etc) There is the footage that the reporter has of "some one" that looks a little out of place, and that should be something like "We need to get to this guy and kill/capture/(beg plead grovel to) him to make this mess go away. Or something along those lines. 3) Last Stand. We bunker down into the mall and have the fight of our lives, we prep the doors and walls, Pack out the ammo and just go down shooting and killing. Normally there is a leader that sets this up and then tension builds. Ok man the guns get the doors sealed, blah, blah, blah. Then something happens and the zombies charge... Mass carnage and death... You get the idea. Right now it seems that we are running around the mall with no idea of what is going on or even what we are going to do about what is going on. What do the other players want to do with this?
