Progress and living matter.

  1. My fictional universe is science fiction with a blend of fantasy. Immortals, dragons, gods, intricate architecture, billion year old civilisations spanning multiple galaxies, various alien species, and humans.

I'm soon done with the fourth draft of my first book. Just two more chapters. It's still only around 65 000 words, so I need to get creative and add more scenes. It is very problematic that the main character's love interest only has around ten lines or somewhere around that in the entire book.

I have been developing a short story series called Kalahastian, that I will upload and recite on Youtube, very excited to see what people may think of it. The series is planned as of now to be endless, or at least until my own death. I will continue to work on it until I can not.

Living matter is prevalent throughout my fictional universe. It is what most buildings and such are made of, it can change shape and colour. Imagine a large hall with marble-like pillars and slow-moving frescoes. Padded decorated curved chairs in front of every pillar. Painted statues of various humans in different interactions between the pillars, also moving slowly. Painted vases besides the statues. On a celebrative day, the colours will be vibrant in the hall, on a solemn day they will be darker. Ever changing, ever moving. Like its parent civilisation.

Sounds like it's got some epic scale to it.

I just watched a video about an old video game that had organic spaceships, and it seemed pretty cool.

The scale is indeed epic. Most of the living matter in my universe isn't strictly organic, it resembles other matter such as concrete or metal more, but it can be programmed and is "smart." For example, if a gunshot tears a hole in a wall, the wall can use some of its reserve matter to slowly fill and heal the hole.
So the matter does not look organic, no Wraith ships like in Stargate.
