State of Mind

  1. I'm so despondent right now, the idea of being creative in any fashion is beyond me.

    The state my country is in is... wow... I don't even have a word for it. Nothing seems to fit.

    We were supposed to be the nation that the rest of the world looked up to. Oh, I know, we haven't been that in decades, but it always felt like we could get back there with a little effort. Now I'm looking for an exit strategy.

    Haven't touched it in I don't know how long. I am, however, reading a David Gerrold novel and taking notes about how to write internal emotional details for characters. He's a master at that.

    Yes, same with my project. It is just part of the process I guess. I think reading is the best thing to do under the circumstances. No better form of inspiration! Which novel, might give it a try.
