    On Writing by Stephen King is, in my opinion, a must-read. It offers some writing advice, but is largely a biography/memoir, Stephen King still gives good advice on writing through offering an inside look into his journey to becoming a successful writer.

    Though On Writing might not teach you how to be a better writer, it shows you what it might take and offers some good inspiration/motivation. I highly recommend it.

    HIs biography, the first half of the book, created a highly credable foundation for the advice he gave. Still reading through the second half. As a reader I';m not into his arena of mayhem and murder but his writing skills are there, big time.
