Helm Publishing

So i have looked around for different publishing companies which would suite me as a writer (i don't want to have to spend all this time getting a literary agent and then spend even more time trying to get published by some major publishing company). I came across this one publishing company called Helm Publishing. They focus on writers who are new to writing books and having them published. Has anyone heard about this company? Are they any good and worth consideration?
