Hello! I'll make it quick! I'm an aspiring writer who will be published for the first time in July 2014. I have written for years, but only very recently have I started to seriously seek out publication. I record my whole writing journey (and then some) in my blog: "Pre-Author, Post-Boredom."

Thank you for your interest, Maia! The story will be out at the end of the month in Shadows & Light Magazine, which is not really a magazine but a quarterly paperback anthology. They can indeed be purchased via Amazon.

since the anthology will be sold, do you mind telling us if you were paid for your story?

 

I was not paid, and for now that is okay with me. I will receive a copy and satisfaction of seeing my photo and story in print. However, I am also offered a nice discount on buying copies of the book to sell on my own which I plan to do.
