Hello there guys! I'm newish, but oh well, So why was that raven guy on Pg1 banned? Do I still need to pm someone to advertise a story?
ok realised can't advertise my story unless its 'a story' so plz go to Rp kick start and have a look cheers! https://www.writingforums.org/threads/role-play-kickstarter.63793/#post-1147023
May I draw everyone's attention to winners from among our very own fellow RP peeps! @Keitsumah and @Macaberz !!
Hey guys, so I'm putting together a site FAQ (Articles Section, Resource Section, Writing Workshop, etc.). I was going to add a Role Play FAQ as well, but I see you have one already. Should we add one to the FAQ section as well? Maybe a general RP FAQ, like what it is, how to get involved, when you can start your own RP, etc.? Thoughts? Or is this unnecessary?
it may actually be a very good idea -as that is a more-used area in general. and since we are gaining more players it would help to gain a few more so that we have several active games and enough players to play in them actively. (i just got home from lawn-mowing all day and omg my fingers are not working right!)
That'd be great Daniel! Give me till Monday to update our current FAQ. Also, the auto-moderating of threads posted in the main RP section seems to be turned off, can we get that back on?
Great. It'll be added to it's own category in the new faq section: https://www.writingforums.org/faq/ I believe I've fixed the new thread moderation issue.
Hey, everyone. I'm new to the forums in general but not to role-playing, although I'll admit it's been a while since I have. I only have one big question: Are there shorter games that take place here? I'd like to get involved, but I'm starting another job soon and I have a couple of other writing projects that I'm working on, so a role-play would be more a leisure activity for me where I still get an opportunity to write. If a game like that doesn't exist, I do have an idea for one, but no experience mastering a game whatsoever. I have developed games in the past, however. Just curious. I look forward to seeing you all around!
They tend to be very long. Yet the pace is slow, which means that you should have time to catch up and post.
So it's always a very long-term contribution for everyone, and no one expects active posting. I understand. Thanks for the info! I won't be so cautious about diving in.
Well yes, things have been quite sluggish as of late, in spite of the influx of new players. A fair warning though, not a whole lot of games make it through to the end. Some do, but they are a minority. For the game I plan to put up, I am of course aiming to end it, but we'll see.
sadly very few games indeed ever make it to the end. I think we need to figure out how to make games that can handle running on three players minimum if they have to. I hate to see games die and I've been in practically every single one since i got one here!
