As a quick summary things work on this order here.

New idea of RPG is posted in Kickstarter thread
Once new idea gathered enough interest (Which is vague and I think it defines as enough to suffice the GM), you send the idea via PM/Conversation to Losthawken (Moderator of the RPG subforum).
Once Losthawken had approved it, you can freely post it and begin your game.

Here we follow this pattern for characters and stuff.

Intro post of the game thread includes introduction and rules for character creation plus any other important info.
The discussion thread is were people post their characters and any doubt, sugerence, commentary, etc. regarding the game (And sometimes of any topic as it end becoming a chat, though that had been partially solved with the chat some people use)
After that the usual, posts go in game thread and well game goes on...

 

Ah, I wasn't sure which thread, this or the kickstarter, was more appropriate to post an idea.
This one seemed more popular so I winged it

 

@A.M.P. The Kickstarter is relatively new, and you are right, there is more activity here. I just set up the kickstarter to be a dedicated place to post more detailed ideas and get commitments.

@lixAxil supped things up pretty well, and is correct in that 'enough' interest is defined by the GM. I'm not going to set that requirement. Technicaly you can post your game before contacting me. If the system is working it should be moderated until I look it over and approve it. Since I'm the only mod, however, its faster just to PM me as lixAxil said.

@A.M.P. I see also from your Sig that you are submitting to Xchyler's spring Anthology! Do I already know you? If not, props to you! I just got published in their Fall Anthology, and I an tell you they are great to work with! Do me a favor and post your experience with them on the page I made for them in 'Publishing resources', after you submit.

 

Hey y'all! I know there's some artistic talent in this bunch. I'm looking for some original art work to represent the RP forum. Anyone have anything laying around, or want to try a hand at making something? PM me!

 

like what exsactly? I have drawn many characters for my rp, does that count? or are you looking for more general works.

 

What kind of stuff are you looking for?

I've got some things lying around, but it's all either not entirely original, stuff I made for others (not up to me to share that anymore), not finished or "crap", so... well... I'll see if there's anything I can do though

 

Have you noticed the ads in the top right of the homepage? We are looking for something to fill that space on behalf of the RP section, something that speaks to cooperative writing, epic quests, or super powered teamwork. A little text advertising what we are about will likely be laid over it, so a broad scene may be better than a detailed character.

 

what you could do is show case multiple works at the top, representing more then one artists instead of just one big work. More inclusive that way.

 

should i get making another "summary" post like last time?

Hey RPers. I'm back from a hiatus and should be around/active for at least the next two months (no promises come Feb). There's a lot of stories going on now, so I'll try to get my foot in one or two. Otherwise I'm open for starting something new.

Good evening one and all!

I am here to shamelessly advertise my Scrolls of Iria RP, a tale of incredible fantasy and terrible danger that sees your character fight against insurmountable odds, in the hope of saving the land of Hanavar from a dreaded evil. Our heroes must find the scrolls of Iria but they are not sure why - they only know that they must stop the vile Commander Bane from acquiring them.

Though the adventure has already begun with the survivors of Highguard battling on, I am opening the game up to new players. So come and enter the fray and have some fun!

If you are interested then I suggest you read the previous posts. There are only six pages and the quality from all the writers is tremendous so it is well worth the read. Once you have read the posts and have a character in mind, you can PM me with your CS and we can try and see how to implement you into the RP.

This advert deserves a little bump. This game is really worth it people, the best game here (imho) in terms of writing quality, and one of the best on all other accounts.

Yeah. So. Deepest apologies to everyone involved with that whole fiasco. Seems like every time I attempt to run a game, something drastic ends up happening in real life and I have to disappear. So just...yeah. Very sorry. I'm going to refrain from running rps for a while I think.

 

You could try to breathe new live into it. It might just work, I can't promise you anything, but it may be worth a shot. Unless of course, you can already foresee some oncoming RL events that might make it hard to maintain the game.
