Wow, I go on vacation for a week, hardly check the board, and suddenly:

Now's the dilemma, because I don't think there's anyone (still) on here that I'm not getting along with, but just so I don't give the impression of favoritism or cause any conflicts, I'm going to be a bit roundabout. You know who you are.

[REDACTED] for being so welcoming when I joined the board.
[REDACTED] was a great person giving me all the help sorting out those problems I was having with that story (you know the one).
[REDACTED] is always really good about realizing that I didn't mean to say what I said, when it came out really stupid and possibly offensive.
[REDACTED] has the best sense of humo(u)r on the forum, and always brightens my day.
[REDACTED] who has really opened my eyes about where and how they live their life, and will figure prominently (and non-fatally) in a story someday.
And last, but not least, [REDACTED], who [REDACTED] [REDACTED] that [REDACTED] when [REDACTED][REDACTED]. You have no idea how much that [REDACTED].

    In conclusion,

    Sincerely

    -Iain

Hugs back! I'm very glad you found WF. :D It's awesome to have like-minded souls around. :)

In general, I'm glad there are so many active members here, keeping the forum alive and spicy. You guys hang around in the Lounge like it was a bar/coffee shop in a sitcom, you know, the place where all the main characters gather after work. :D (@Tenderiser @Cave Troll @Link the Writer @big soft moose @Homer Potvin @BayView @NoGoodNobu @Iain Aschendale ...and many others!)

Oh shoot, I left someone out!

Sorry you slipped my mind, @[REDACTED], I know you worked hard to earn that cool limited-edition strikethrough font on your username, and it fits you to a "T".

    Congratulations!

Thanks Ed - and apologies to all for the state of the top of the GW forum... it will only stay like that until a mod puts threads where i moved the content to bed ( I don't have the powers to do it myself)

Sitting in my new house, boxes all around, feeling really weird. I log on my phone, and find this. What a wonderful community we have. Thanks for mentioning me, guys. You never know who you touch until things like this pop up.

@Lifeline thanks for being my mentor. If anyone thinks any of my writing is good, it's due in a large part to her.

@Lorena thanks for being one of the first to read and comment on my workshop entry. My dialog is better because of you.

@GingerCoffee thanks for giving me early advice on my current WIP, and for being a big fan of my short stories. My understanding of narrative POV is better because of you.

@KaTrian thanks for letting me beta read your novel, and see what right looks like.

@jannert thanks for your advice on how to do a detail oriented edit.

@BayView thanks for your advice on how to develop the theme and subject of a piece of writing.

@Iain Aschendale thanks for the beta read, for being a pal, and for tickling my brain with your interesting WIP.

@big soft moose thanks for being a pal, the beta read, and so many conversations about the world.

@Dracon thanks for the beta read, and the comprehensive essays you wrote about every chapter of my book.

@OJB thanks for your amazing horror stories and WIP, and your blogs on the technical aspects of writing.

@Cave Troll thanks for letting me beta read your published novel, about sado-masochist, super commando, ant lizard burn victims :) I just hope I actually helped.

@Simpson17866 thanks for all the interesting comments you make on subjects and threads I find interesting.

@srwilson thanks for your awesome, terrifying writing. You need to be published. Period.

@Luke Scott thanks for sending me the kindest, most uplifting single PM I've ever received. You don't know what your words meant to me.

@VynniL thanks for the supporting words and conversations, and for letting me help you with your research.

This list leaves out so many, and when I can get internet and a computer working, as opposed to this little phone, I'll thank everyone properly. I love you all, and remember:

"There can be no creativity... Without madness."

I posted a question in the GW forum asking about the "Resources" section, and it was taken down. Any light you can shed would be helpful.
