Aye, and the electricity bill of the owner of the graphics card that renders the pixels of our stage. The maths is a bit much; I'm reaching for my switch.
There's issues with my choice too. Ignorantly and blissfully happy forever? I'll be dancing at every loved ones funeral, and laugh and jump with every terrifying news. People will start to catch on. I will be in the cuckoo's nest before long... but at least still happy xD
and...and...being permanently on that setting would soon feel normal and you may hanker to be more ignorant, to be more blissful, to start chasing the dragon. Can I interest you in this gizmo?
For me, knowledge is happiness. The old saying, Ignorance is Bliss, is only correct for small things. I have known people that did not know how rain works, or how the human body works, or what the difference is between a plant and an animal; all the way to people that are figuring out how the universe works, how to get a person to Mars. The people who know more tend to be happier, the ones that don't know much often live in silent fear, everything is a mystery. They tend to make fear based decisions, rather than rational.
How dreadful I imagine it would be to know everything there is to know and never learn of anything new ever again. But, with that said, I would still pick that option. I'm too curious not to.
Reversing climate change. No question. Would you rather be stuck at sea alone for the rest of your life (on a ship) or be confined to a glass box in the middle (exposed to others. big enough you can stand and take a few steps in it) of Central Park for the rest of your life?
At sea for the rest of my life, though I'd likely go insane before too long. Would you rather... Have dinner with a Trump supporter or a Nazi? Yes, I'm trolling today.
A Nazi. Not a neo-Nazi. but a genuine member of the pre-1945 NSDAP. ETA: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apt_Pupil Would you rather lose your external nose or three randomly selected fingers?
8 hours. I'm too honest to claim any of these, but here's a comedy site with ten, take your pick: Sad and Useless Humor
